Oceanside, California. (Steve Marcotte, OsideNews) OCEANSIDE — The Oceanside Chamber of Commerce invites civilians and military alike to Armed Forces Day Operation Appreciation on Saturday, May 20, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Junior Seau Oceanside Pier Amphitheatre. Active-duty military and their families and dependents can enjoy free food, entertainment and a children's fun zone during a day of recognition for those stationed at Camp Pendleton and other nearby bases. Civilians are also invited to join in the festivities by purchasing tickets.
